Sonya was born and raised on Vancouver Island. Having lived in 5 cities in the past 25 years, she realized that Victoria is the best place to live and that it was time to come home. She moved back to Victoria 18 years ago into the neighborhood of South Oak Bay and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Sonya’s neighborhood choice was based on strong community feel, excellent schools for her children to attend, breath taking running routes, and of course, spectacular locations to take her dogs Romeo and Buddy for walks. She coached baseball when her children were young and has spent countless hours on the soccer field watching games. Sonya’s children are now attending post secondary schools. When asked what is so special about Victoria, Sonya’s response is “It’s simple really, I love the outdoors. My family has a recreation property in Port Renfrew and we all love to fish. It’s only a 2 hour drive. There are so many hiking trails to choose from and tennis courts to play on, Victoria is the perfect place for me for the lifestyle I choose to live.”
